役どころ紹介
（暁）：トゥアンは革命家の１人なんですけれど、一応先生からは体育会系でと言われているので、いっつも台詞の最後に！マークがついてたりするので、最後にオー！！みたいな感じで熱い感じの役で。国に対する想いが熱くて、家族も想ってるんですけど、一番国が大切っていうのを大事にしていってる人物です。
（朝美）：暁演じるトゥアンとかの革命軍のちょっとリーダー的な感じで。宇月さん演じるソンさんから命令を受けて、革命分子たちに情報を流して実際に行動を起こす時のリーダーみたいな感じで。本当にベトナムを独立させるために、自分の命をも捨てるという覚悟で動いている特攻隊的なイメージを持ってやってるんですけど。
（珠城）：（あーさ&ありちゃん）どちらにしても熱いものを持ってるよね。愛国心っていうところに対するエネルギーをすごく感じるから。熱いよね。
（朝美）：インドシナ、アジアの人って、熱いものは持っていてもフランス人みたいにワ〜っとは出さないっていうところがすごく難しくって。
（珠城）：内に秘めてるっていうところもあるし、今回革命運動してるってことは水面下で進めていってる感じがあるから、そういうところもまたちょっとフランス人とは活動の仕方も違うかもしれないけど。
（朝美）：そういうのを重点に今回は…
（珠城）：私はある意味クオンも、多くは語らないんだけれども、かなり熱いものは根底にあって。それが私の中で言うイメージは青い炎なんだけど。本当にお腹の奥底に過去に色々自分が経験してきたことっていうのが、根底にあるんだけど。それによって、とにかく愛を否定して生きているし、祖国っていうものも自分にはないと思ってる。自分１人の力で生きていくっていう一匹狼であること。あとはやっぱり、お金への執着っていうのが過去の自分の経験からきている。本当はすごく情が深くてっていう人だと思うんだけど。
元々裕福な暮らしをしてきて、その人がそういう経験をしたから１８０度性格が変わってしまったっていうことだと思うから、私も根底にあるのはエネルギーがあってすごく熱い人物だと思うんだけど。でもそれを全面にウワって出すんじゃなくて、結構計算して物事を見てるところとかもあるから、そういうところは革命分子の人たちとは違う色が…ソンと対立するところが多いから、ソンとは全然違う系統の色味でいれたらいいなとは思うんだけど。
（朝美）：馬鹿にされてる感が…『愛国心？へっ！』って。

クオンのお芝居の変化
（珠城）：公演を１ヶ月していく中で色々変化があると思うんだけど、私もすごくトシさんと芝居をしてて、本当に楽近くに急激な変化があったんだけど、前は愛国心に対してのすごい想いがあったんだけど、ソンという人間に対しての想いと…。
自分が過去に母親の云々かんぬんって言ってるくんだりは、こういう目にあったっていう自分の母親への想いであったり、そういうのが最初すごく強かったんだけど、でもそれが楽近くになった時に、愛国心ってなんなんだろうっていうところに行き着いた時に、愛国心を全面的に否定することによって、ソンはそれを命をかけて貫こうとしてるから、よりそこを突いて否定すればするほど向こうは腹が立つわけ…そうやっていく内にトシさんとの芝居でつかめるようになった部分もあるし、分かってきたっていうのもあって。結構楽近くの１週間ぐらいでだいぶ芝居が動いた感じがあったんだけど…
フランスに対する意識について
（朝美）：役としてはすごく恨みも持っているし…でも実際体験していないから。映像とか資料で想像するしかできないですけど、でも反抗ができない分、すごく溜まっていた部分もあると思うし、実際に自分の作った設定では両親も独立運動していたけど何かがあって殺されたか、死んでしまってっていう設定をひどい風に持っていって、色々想像しながら。そうすると、憎しみっていうか…それが想像していたものがどんどん舞台をやっていくことによって、本当の自分の感情になっていく感じがして。
やっぱりグループ芝居が多いので、新鮮さっていうものがなくなってしまうと、嘘の台詞になってしまったりとか。自分たちでやってるつもりでも、実際に後から聞いてみたら全然心がこもっていなかったりとか…。お互いの助け合いがあって芝居が成立するんだなっていうのを今回。東京とかも毎回新鮮って思いすぎず、自分は今こういう状態でっていうのを想像して、イメージして、お互いが役として毎回できたらいいなと思うんですけど。
（暁）：場面的にフランスの人と真っ正面から対立するのが16場、最後なので、そこで初めて対象物っていうか、憎んでるフランスの人と対等に会うところで。そこで一番やってて本当に憎しみがすごく強くなるんですけど、最初に自分がベトナム人じゃないので、想像がすごく難しかったので、本当に自分の故郷を想ってやろうと思って…広島。広島を想ってやったりとかしたら、結構すんなり入ってきたので、それをベトナムに変えてやったりとかしてましたけど。ベトナム人って結構ウウッって感じなの、日本人も多分そうなので、確かに本当に憎しみがこもった時って、言葉にもならないんだなっていうのが分かって良かったです。
たまきちの語る役作りへのアプローチ
（珠城）：そうだね。確かに今回は結構フランスと虐げられてる人物が描かれていたり、戦争というものが影響してきてるけど、普段の役とかでもそうだよね。やっぱり自分がその人になることは絶対できなくて、どうやってその人との共通点を見つけてよりリアルに想像していけるかっていうのが、多分どの役に対してもそうだと思うんだけど。
私も今回考えれば考えるほど分からなくなっちゃったんだけど。でも色んな人から話を聞いて、この前ふと、あっ…って思ったのは、その役を理解しようとか思いすぎると、こう（集中）なりすぎちゃうから、１回それで無理だったら、この役・この人本当に嫌い！みたいな…クオンとか普通にいたら超ムカツクじゃん！珠城りょうとしてクオンという人物を見た時に、どんな環境で生きてきたのか分からないけど、でも、じゃあ実際自分がそうなったら実際それをするか？って思ったら、どう？共感できる？
妹を使ってとか…全部そういう風にする…私はしないな…と思って。そうなった時に自分とは違うという面である意味客観的に見れるようになることもある。その役を分かってあげなきゃいけない、理解しようと近寄ろうとしすぎると、分からなくなっちゃって。だから発想を転換というか…理解できないんだったら、この人嫌いなところを挙げてこうみたいな感じで考えたりとか。してみたら、そうすると客観的に見てこの人がどういう人か分かったりする。その人になろうなろうってなると、その人の事しか考えられなくて、周りから見てその人がどういう風に見られているかとか、どういう存在であるべきなのかっていうのが分からなくなっちゃうから。そうやって客観的にその役を見て考えた時に、ああ、じゃあ対この人から、クオンっていう人物はこういう風に見えてたらいいのかな？こういう風にいたらいいのかな？こういう風に話しかけたりこういう目線で持ってたらいいのかなっていうのが、ちょっとそういう考え方をすることによって、ちょっと見えてきた部分があって。あ〜と思って。
