音楽の特徴
基本的には全部ロック・ミュージカルなので、全てのテイストがロックの特にフランスのヨーロッパの色がとても濃いかなと思います。
前回『ロミオとジュリエット』でもフランスのロックをやってるんですけど、またそれとは違う前回の『ロミオとジュリエット』はもう少しクラシカルな要素とロックの融合みたいなところが面白かったんですけど、今回の『1789』はもう少しロックバンド寄りのロックの曲がちりばめられてるところかなと思います。
海外ミュージカルを編曲するにあたって心がけていること
まずは必ずあちらで１度上演されてますので、その神髄というか音楽の一番要になるところは絶対壊さないことですよね。
なので、基本的に小池先生が潤色されますので多少歌う人が変わったりはしているんですけども、その音楽の要素っていうか楽しさみたいなものは崩さないように心がけてはいます。
今回の特徴
龍さんがああいう若者、青年のロナンというのはとても合ってると思うので、そういう面ではロナンの曲も増えてるんです。
実際のフランス版では歌ってないところを少し歌ってたりするので、そういうところはまたフランス版と見比べて頂くととても楽しいかな？と思うんですけども。

龍真咲について
龍さんはロミオの時は二役だっと思うんですけど、あの時もものすごく声を使い分けて頑張ってたんで、今回どういう形でくるかなと楽しみにしてたんですけど、やっぱり青年のロナンていう役をとってもよく演じてると思いますし、１幕の最初のちょっとあどけない田舎から出て来た青年から２幕のみんなの先頭に立つところまでの変化をよく考えて歌ってるなと思うので、そのへんをとても楽しく東京の舞台稽古からも見ておりました。
愛希れいかについて
愛希さんは基本的音楽的センスはとても持ってると思うし、今とても声楽的にものすごくのぼり調子なので、ちょうど今の時期にあのマリー・アントワネットの頭の特に『全てをかける』っていうあの曲はとても合ってると思います。
特に東京では宝塚であれだけ歌って、かなり慣れてきてかなりこなれて、マリー・アントワネットの女王の魅力というものがとてもよく出ているので、安心して聞いております。
…今回『1789』は本当に想像以上にパンチのあるロックテイストでした。まさお氏の声質にすごく合っててＣＤ欲しいなあ～
